BastiGHG streams every day without exception, his daily streams have been running since January 14, 2016. In order to maintain this, he only made very short streams on a few days or had other streamers represent him on his channel. He missed his own prom because he was busy streaming.
After five years of daily streams, Basti posted an overview on Twitter. There he stated that he had streamed 9,784 hours in the past few years. That would equate to more than five hours of streaming on average – every day, without a break.
Since the streamer never shows his face, there is of course no facecam in the stream. However, you often see a camera showing his hands.
To this day, Bastian mainly streams Minecraft. It accounts for about 75 percent of his online time on Twitch. However, he also regularly plays in other games or fights battles against other streamers. He regularly competes with Papaplatte aka Kevin. The two have been close friends for years.
Story
GermanHungerGames was the first channel, and it was run by BastiGHG and PatrickGHG.After you lost the channel’s data, the channel GermanHungerGamesHD was founded on August 12, 2012, and had reached 10,000 subscribers by the end of 2013, since it was the first German-language channel at that time to upload Hunger Games videos.
In 2014, Basti and Patrick switched to the KompetenzGHG (today BastiGHG) channel because of problems with the old network, GermanHungerGamesHD. Furthermore, only about 2,000 of the approximately 14,000 GermanHungerGamesHD subscribers switched to the new channel. From this point on, Basti mainly produced videos.
Patrick uploaded his last video to the channel on September 24th, 2014, explaining that he no longer had any motivation for Minecraft videos and that Basti should now run the channel alone. After that, Basti continued with the Legend project (later Titan) in which he worked with Faboteamed because there was no other teammate left. In the end they were able to win the project. Shortly thereafter came the “Road to ZickZack” project, in which Basti tried out a wide variety of challenges. At the end of 2014, Basti released his first zigzag texture pack, of which there are now 5 editions, all of which are also cosmetics in the Badlion Storehave.
The year 2015 began for Basti with the Schmockyyy troll, in which Basti called Schmockyyy and told him that from now on he only wants to make Fifa videos. This video was Basti’s most successful video at the time. On July 18, 2015 he started the Varo 3 project with Venicraft, which they didn’t win, but it was important for Basti. But he was able to win Varo 4 again with the help of Veni. In 2018, Basti started with the challenges he is known for today. On May 7th, 2021, the Zigzag v3 Cosmetics were released, which are designed in the color red.
On November 14th, 2021 Basti reached 1,000,000 subscribers on YouTube and on January 14th, 2022 on Twitch
